Abstract

This paper analyzes the balance and distribution of Serbia’s merchandise trade flows during the period from 2019 to 2024, with particular emphasis on export-import dynamics, regional disparities, and key foreign trade partners. The study examines the geographical structure of Serbia’s foreign trade, including the role of statistical regions, major export and import markets, and the influence of regional and global economic trends. Using descriptive statistical analysis based on official data from the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia, the paper identifies the main factors shaping foreign trade movements and evaluates their impact on the national economy. The findings indicate a continuous growth of foreign trade activity, significant regional imbalances, and increasing dependence on several major international partners, particularly Germany and China.
