ChatGPT is changing the way people learn and study. In this paper, we identify, analyze, and discuss the advantages, disadvantages, opportunities, and threats of using ChatGPT in higher education institutions, specifically in studying economics. Based on interviews with university students from Slovenia, we found that ChatGPT can improve the learning experience. However, the results also show that the use of ChatGPT in economics has disadvantages and threats, which students and professors should be aware of.
